Choir Rules

Home Up

The St. Mary Magdalene School Choir is made up of students in 2nd through 8th Grade who love Jesus and singing.  These students give up one hour after school one day a week to rehearse and prepare to lead and enhance the worship of  our Lord and Savior at mass.  The choir members understand that what they do by singing in mass is a ministry, not just an extra-curricular activity. We all thank God for giving us the talent of singing so that we may share God’s love with others through music.

Students must have a permission slip signed by their parent(s) before they are allowed to attend after school rehearsals.  Choir members are expected to attend all rehearsals unless they have an excuse from their parent.  Students who miss a Tuesday rehearsal will not be allowed to sing on the following Wednesday.  Choir rehearsals are scheduled for every Tuesday from 3:15 – 4:15.  Any cancellations will be announced as early as possible.  Choir rehearsal should not be used in lieu of extended care   Parents should only allow their children to participate in choir if their child truly loves to sing.
